Particle beam Electrolaser Plasma

Although it is fairly straightforward, it may help to define what exactly a blaster is. Here are a few basic requirements: (this is just my opinion - it is likely that the first prototypes will not fulfill all of these)

  • Uses directed-energy -- no projectiles (i.e., bullets)
  • Can fire at a rapid rate and is semi-automatic (no reloading or having to wait for it to charge between shots)
  • Is about the same size and weight as a regular handgun
  • Does some amount of damage
  • OPTIONAL: Has variable output energy -- lethal/non-lethal (stun) settings
